Thank you for visiting my photography web site!
I am a high school Vice Principal by profession. I was born and raised in Western Washington state, part of the wonderfully photogenic Pacific Northwest, where I still live today. I love music, traveling, and literally any activity than lends itself to taking photos.
I first became interesting in the art of picture taking during high school when, as a Junior, I took my very first photography class. Mind you this was back in the days of film, chemicals, dark-rooms, and Kodachrome, and I was fascinated by the entire process of capturing images and having them realized on paper. I purchased my single lens reflex (SLR) camera my senior year, a lower-end Vivitar. As I learned what all the settings could do, I became more and more excited about the great creativity the SLR offered.
I continued this hobby over the years to come, and when the dawn of digital photography emerged I purchased a Kodak DC265 (a brick of a camera by today’s standards) and learned to appreciate being able to capture hundreds of pictures without the cost of film. I also began to study and use Photoshop, and started to understand the concept of the “Digital Darkroom” as it is now called. Nevertheless, I greatly missed the flexibility and creativity offered by my old Vivitar SLR.
Then, one day, it happened. Technology gave birth to the very first digital single lens reflex cameras, and I was THRILLED until I saw the price tags. Totally out of my league. Eventually, however, like in the case of all new technologies, prices began to drop with greater demand and production. When I finally did get my hands on my very own Canon Digital Rebel, it was like being a kid in a candy store – my skills were rusty, but all the creative slowly began to return. I currently use a Canon 40D with a variety of lenses
Today, although I still consider myself a primarily hobbyist, I often sell my best pieces as posters and art prints. For pricing information, please visit my primary business site at
